The Cathedral

Open 1:30 – 4:30pm. Two guided tours will be offered on a first come first serve basis at 1:30 and 2:30.

Construction of the Classical Renaissance style Cathedral began in 1906, with the first services held there in 1915. It was designed by French architect Emmanuel Masqueray.

Vivienne's Joy Foundation is a charitable 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to bringing awareness to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, supporting other bereaved parents and bringing joy to others.  ‚ÄčIt was formed in memory of Vivienne Claire Burgess who passed away in November 2016,  3 days after her 3rd birthday, from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.  The Burgess family lives in Ramsey Hill and one of the first projects of Vivienne's Joy is to build a brand new playground in Boyd Park.  They playground will be 100% volunteer built and 100% funded through donations.  Please stop by and learn more about Vivienne's Joy and our playground project.  We will be at Summit Manor House and look forward to meeting you!  For more information about the foundation and the playground visit viviennesjoy.org

We will have special guests at the James J Hill House for 6-7pm.  Plan on stopping by at that time for some lovely music.

The Hill House Chamber Players, musicians from the Minnesota Orchestra and University of Minnesota faculty, have performed in the James J. Hill House for over 30 years. During the September 14 home tour, you can hear them in the Art Gallery of the Hill House between 6 and 7 p.m. Stop by for a musical interlude, stay a few minutes or longer!
